Esher Transformation
Set within a privately gated community planning permission was obtained for a design and build project in Esher. Currently, 3,600 feet square the new design will take the property to some 6,000 feet square.
The project entails complete remodelling and interior design of the house with the addition of an orangery and loft conversion. The goal was to create a wonderful, flowing family house where the owners five children could have their own private space alongside hardworking mum and dad.
The existing house built in the 1990s by Octagon forms part of a private estate on the edges of Esher, the development is characterised by its large houses set within landscaped gardens. Although the existing property was of a good size the new owners and their five children needed additional accommodation.
Apart from completely new interior design, an orangery was added to the rear doubling the size of the kitchen area as well as a full loft conversion. The loft conversion with its extremely complicated roof structure proved a worthy opponent.
However, the final result is a new additional floor with three double bedrooms all with en suite and a laundry/utility room. This new floor is set aside for the children and with a kitchenette, it allows them a little privacy form the parent s below.
The new interior boasts an enlarged master suite with his and her bathroom as well as dressings rooms as well as new doors, ironmongery, sanitaryware, kitchen, lighting, flooring etc... No part of this property has been left out, resulting in a fabulous large family home where set in leafy Surrey.
