Duplex Penthouse with Stunning Views

With a triplex penthouse in a superlative location directly opposite Holland Park itself, and with direct lift access to the residence along with off-street car parking and spectacular views over both the park and Notting Hill, London apartments don't get much better.

Developed by renowned London property developer, Paul Roshan, planning and listed building consent was approved for a comprehensive refurbishment of the property and included conversion of the loft space into a spectacular bedroom as well as a roof terrace and double height atrium connecting the two principle floors. The feature aquarium greets you as you enter the living space, which consists of a formal reception and dining area as well as a state-of-the-art media room with drop-down screen and projector, a Boffi kitchen and laundry room.

On the third floor, you will find a sumptuous master bedroom suite with study, open walk-through wardrobe and spectacular bathroom with circular bath and separate shower. There are also two further guest bedroom suites, one of which has a conservatory style bathroom and on the top floor there is an open plan fourth bedroom suite, which provides access onto a spectacular decked roof terrace with subtle lighting, landscaped planters and breathtaking views across West London.

Marble and Lacquer

As with all listed building projects, the existing fabric and features form the canvas from which one can work. The complications of obtaining planning and listed building consents on such properties have become ever more increasing. Amari worked closely with the planning department and conservation officer to ensure as smooth a ride as possible during the process.

Materials, finished and detailing were painstakingly chosen and incorporated to respect and enhance all aspects of the existing period property. Knowing what and where to use can take the design to another level. With the elevator arriving directly into the penthouse apartment one is greeted with acres of marble and bespoke lacquered joinery. All of the components on this project were of the highest quality making it easy on the discerning eye.

Balancing the client’s wishes with the practicalities of modern living and historical nature of sites such as this is paramount to achieving the best results. It is true to say that anyone owning a listed building becomes its custodian ensuring that it can be enjoyed for another 150 years or more.
